"Homenaje a Guillem de Mont-Rodón"

The last weekend in May, Monzón travels back in time to the Middle Ages with a celebration called "Homenaje a Guillem de Mont-Rodón".

The character in question, a Templar headmaster, officiated over the education and care of Jaime I in the Monzón Castle (the child king who came to the fort after the death of his father, Pedro II the Catholic, at the Battle of Muret). A motley medieval market, various historical re-enactments, theater, music and parades make up the attractive program.
